General Dental Checkups
Why do I need a check up?
Prevention is better than cure! Dental check ups help identify and prevent oral disease like tooth decay, gum diseases and oral cancer from spreading further and causing permanent damage.
It is recommend that dental check ups and a scale and clean be performed on a six monthly basis.
During the check up we will routinely chart all the findings in your mouth like the condition of your fillings, teeth, and your gums. Once the charting is complete we will provide you with a treatment plan to restore your oral health.
Once you have scheduled an appointment for a check up and you had X-rays taken in the last 18 months please try and bring them with you so we can have look at them. If you prefer us to get your records from your previous dentist, please don’t forget to sign a record release form at our reception.
